Page 1 of 2 4Healing Critical Change Agents
Health care is a global business. Many countries (i.e. Australia, UK and Germany) other than the US are already large users of CAM. The 4HEALING model is thus perfectly suitable to any country and thus becomes a multi-billion dollar global potential that can transform the patient from being just a health care consumer to an industry disruptive driver.
HEG/4HEALING Helps Practitioners Become the Critical Change Agents ? The economics of mainstream medical practices forces doctors to allocate as little time as possible with their patients. As a result, the patient receives the minimal time required to treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause of their problem. The economic, regulatory and legal climate may actually preclude a physician from incorporating more time-intensive therapies into his or her practice. The physician is more apt to write a prescription to alleviate the symptom rather than deal with the underlying cause of the patient?s issue. Integrative practitioners however, understand that the connection between patient and healer is of such value, that the more time spent understanding their patients provides them a greater opportunity to become the critical change agent for the patient. It is therefore the change agent that can have the greatest influence on patient behavior because they recognize what is necessary and take the time to enact those changes.
